Vietnam's Partnership Framework for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 27 July 2010
We are pleased to share with you the signed copies of Vietnam's Partnership Framework for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control.  The Partnership Framework provides a five-year, joint strategic plan for cooperation by the Government of Vietnam, the U.S. Government, and other stakeholders to support a strategic and collaborative response to HIV, while supporting health services for people living with HIV/AIDS. In doing so, it also contributes to PEPFAR's global goals for prevention, care, and treatment.

This document was signed yesterday, July 22, by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Government of Vietnam's Minister of Justice, Ha Hung Cuong, at the Ngoc Lam Pagoda in Hanoi.  Secretary Clinton's remarks from the signing ceremony can be found at http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2010/07/145038.htm

The next step in this process is to develop the Partnership Framework Implementation Plan, which will detail modes of implementation and expected contributions from the USG, GVN, and other donors to support the goals and objectives described in the Partnership Framework.  We will keep you informed of the development and consultation sessions for this process in the months ahead.

Sincerely yours,
