hung.jpgDr. Hung is HAIVN’s Project Officer based in Ho Chi Minh City. He joined the project in 2007.

Dr. Hung’s career has focused on tropical diseases and HIV/AIDS. He became a doctor of general medicine after graduating from Ho Chi Minh City School of Medicine in 1999. After his graduation, he worked for Aide Oddontologique Internationale (AOI), a French Non-Governmental Organization, providing care and public health development in Mekong Delta from 1999 to 2000. Because of his interest in treatment services, Dr. Hung started working for Nhi Xuan Rehabilitation Center as a clinical doctor in 2000.

After participating in an intensive two-year training program from Ho Chi Minh City School of Medicine, he became a first-level infectious disease doctor, practicing at the Tropical Disease Hospital from 2003 to 2005. In 2003, he also focused on radiology (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI…) and received his diploma in April 2004. He continued his career as an infectious disease doctor at Nhi Xuan Rehabilitation Center from 2006 to 2007. In his role of Project Officer with HAIVNr,

Dr. Hung hopes to provide much needed care and treatment to poor people living with HIV/AIDS in Vietnam.
