General Program Manager

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Thai is a HAIVN General Program Manager based in Hanoi. He joined the project in May 2009.

Dr. Thai received his medical degree at Hanoi Medical School in 2000 and he went on to complete his residency in infectious diseases at the National Institute for Clinical Research in Tropical Medicine (former name of the NIITD). After graduating, he worked as an attending physician in the intensive care unit (ICU) at NIITD. His major fields of study were tetanus, encephalitis, and severe pneumonia including avian influenza.

Dr. Thai looks forward to working with HIV/AIDS patients and their physicians in his role as General Program Manager with HAIVN. Dr. Thai loves to read in his free time, especially on such topics as the history of epidemics in Vietnam.
