First Local Company to Provide Low-Cost Anti HIV Drugs |

Ha Noi (VNA) - ICA Pharmaceuticals has announced plans to provide Viet Nam's HIV patients with low-cost anti-HIV drugs, making it the first Vietnamese company to do so.
The drug company said that it would distribute one million tablets of the drug Lamivudin to 30 HIV treatment centres across the country.
Patients are expected to pay around 1,450 VND (0.09 USD) per 150 mg tablet with yearly expenditure forecast at 1 million VND (62 USD) per patient.
Currently there are two other European drug companies providing low-cost generic HIV drugs for the Vietnamese market.
